The outstanding performance and safety of the Women’s Source MTB Helmet (MIPS) come by the way of a full-wrap In-Mould construction. This sees a burly polycarbonate outer shell bonded to an impact-absorbing EPS liner. This ensures the toughness needed for regular mountain bike use and in the event of a crash, absorbs and dissipates damaging impacts. Integrated into the helmet is also the brain-protecting Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS).

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) 

The Mips system is designed to provide added safety for helmets in many accidents. For certain impacts, the Mips system can reduce harmful rotational motion that might otherwise be transferred to the user’s head.

Rotational motion is a common cause of concussions in oblique hits to the head. In a crash, the Mips system is designed to move slightly inside the helmet to help redirect forces away from the head.

Roc Loc® 5 Fit System

For easy adjustment, you’ll enjoy the benefits of the Roc Loc® 5 Fit System. This provides an unmatched level of comfort, stability, adjustability, and weight savings. You can easily dial-in both fit tension and adjust vertical position with a single hand. Just twist the dial for a tighter feel on rough terrain, then back it off a notch and relax across the flats or a warm climb. Even with these remarkable features, Roc Loc 5 is still nearly 40% lighter than its popular predecessor, Roc Loc 4.

Once you’re up to speed and in the flow of the trail, you’ll appreciate the excellent ventilation on offer. A total of 17 vents and internal channels combine to give a rush of cooling airflow over the top of your head. Coolfit™ padding is also a key feature, offering instant comfort, excellent sweat-wicking and anti-microbial qualities to prevent an itchy head after a hot mountain bike session. Lastly, the moto-stye screw-in visor keeps your eyes shielded from the sun and kicked up trail debris.
